Mount Gretna Borough contracts its waste and recycling services to TNT Sanitation Service, Inc. Recycle bins are available at the Borough Office at no charge.
Garbage is collected every Monday in the Borough with the exception of New Year’s Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day, when it will be collected on Tuesday. Recyclables are collected every other week.
The 2024 dates for collection of recyclables are as follows:

- Plastic Bottles and Jugs ONLY
- Metal Food and Beverage Cans (Aluminum and Steel)
- Glass Bottles and Jars (Clear, Green, Brown)
- Corrugated Cardboard (Must Be Flat)
- Newspaper
